How does product linking work between marketplaces (like Amazon) and Shopify in Market Sync?

The app links products using either EAN or SKU, based on the 'Standard Syncing Method' setting. If set to EAN, SKUs must match EANs; if SKU is selected, products link by matching SKUs. Existing offers on marketplaces must be created externally before linking.



Can I publish or sync new products from Shopify to marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, or bol.com using Market Sync?

Currently, Market Sync does not support publishing or syncing new products from Shopify to Amazon, eBay, or bol.com due to platform restrictions. Only inventory and pricing updates for existing products are supported. A standalone application to enable product publishing is in development.


How do I enable and configure inventory and price synchronization in Market Sync?

Enable inventory sync by activating 'Product Sync' in Settings and linking products appropriately. For price sync, enable the checkbox at the bottom of connection settings. You can also set percentage increases for synced prices in connection or product settings.


What are the current capabilities and limitations regarding syncing product catalogs and updates in Market Sync?

Market Sync does not import full Shopify product catalogs nor publish new products to marketplaces, due to platform restrictions. we do sync orders, tracking and update inventory and pricing for already linked products. 


Why do orders fail to sync from marketplaces to Shopify and how do I resolve it?

Most of the time if you click the order in our app, an error message will show up, providing more info

Orders may fail to sync if the connected marketplace is not properly configured or if there is insufficient inventory for one or more products in Shopify. To resolve, ensure product inventory exists in Shopify and correct linkage is made, then re-import the order.
